An icon of war – the Curtiss P-40 aircraft with its renowned shark face at the nose – meets an icon of time.
As a homage to the American Volunteer Group and especially my grandfather, who joined the legendary Flying Tigers in 1939, fighting on behalf of China against the Axis powers, this watch came to inception.
Inspired by Avionics instruments, the Curtiss P-40 is the quintessential pilot watch.
With white markers and hands, the dial evokes the military feel, while still retaining robustness and readability – in any terrain, land, or sky.
Wearing the Curtiss P-40, you are in the cockpit. You are in control.
The Gavox Curtiss P-40 watch was created in homage to the American Volunteer Group (AVG) and especially my Grandfather who joined the Flying Tigers in China in 1939.
